And it really is. There's been frost on the road twice this week, and I don't think it's gonna stop anytime soon. Call me back in April for a frost-free environment. I do love the light this time of year though, especially at sunset. Walking home from work yesterday there was this beautiful, warm light through the trees and I wish I'd had my camera with me. Oh well, I'll see what I can do later.
In other news, I've taken a second job to help pay my bills. No matter what anyone say you don't really get more money after you've finished school. Well you do, but you have more things you have to pay like insurance, rent, phone bills and quite a lot more I don't wanna get into. Anyway, I've got a job as a cloakroom clerk at the local gay bar. It's actually pretty fun since I can hang out with my friends and instead of spending money I'm earning it. And before you ask, this place is nothing like the Blue Oyster. If you don't get that reference, then shame on you! I have this weekend off though, after three weekends working. I can't wait to relax and maybe go out on Saturday. No cover charge for me!
Lately I've had some bad luck and some luck and then some more luck. You see, last weekend my scooter was stolen when I was at work. I was pissed to say the least, 'cause it's my baby! Besides, I was planning on riding it home from work at 3 am when there are no buses going my way. But no, I had to get a ride from my boss, who luckily was there. I was so tense I didn't get to sleep until six am that night.
The next morning I woke up by a rather pleasant phone call from the police. Someone had found my scooter! Unfortunately I couldn't start it since the thief had ruined the ignition. Now my bike's being fixed, and it won't cost too much thanks to a very good insurance. To be honest, I don't really care how much I have to pay. I'm just glad someone found it and it's fixable!
Well, I'm off to check out my message center. Toodles!
